Birgit is working as Manager of EYA (European Youth Award), a European-wide initiative to support young creative people, social start-ups and entrepreneurs using digital technologies to improve society.
EYA organizes several activities: its flagship initiative the EYA Contest (conducted in 59 eligible countries (all of Europe and MENA region)) and the Winners Event (EYA Festival), SHacks (social hackathons), student and mentorship programs and much more.
Birgit studied law and economics and worked for the Salzburg Easter and Summer Festival. She is an enthusiastic hiker, loves travelling and experiencing new things.

Her motivation for being a mentor is the belief in young people, giving inspiration and she wants to help.
